HOME BUILDERS

DCLM WOMEN'S PROGRAM: LEADER HIGHLIGHTS “LITTLE FOXES,” HOME BUILDERS SHOULD KNOCK OFF.

One of the oldest institutions  that has witnessed significant changes and  challenges since its inception has been the marriage institution.

Addressing these predominant issues that have  threatened marital peace and bliss in many homes necessitated the Deeper Christian Life Ministry(DCLM) monthly women program, with its series of varieties for the benefit of the Married, Widows, Singles and Women Professionals.

The August special edition had a large turnout of married sisters who were enlightened on- taking away the little foxes that destroy marriage.

The facilitator for the Magodo group, in person of Mrs Lucky Bodunrin, elucidated those seemingly little foxes that  looked  insignificant, but capable of destroying the home front.

She asserted that " we ought to be joyful, united and making progress in our families and marriages, but with the presence of little foxes that shows up in form of little faults, this has the capacity of destabilizing, causing division and making the marriage union unenjoyable"

VIVID DESCRIPTION OF LITTLE FOXES THAT DESTROYS MARRIAGES:

Some highlighted foxes were brought to the fore from the Scriptures, as Ephesians 4:31-32 succinctly addresses issues like bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, evil speaking with all malice.

The married sisters were encouraged to see themselves as home builders and thus, shun actions such as- dishonesty, complacency, criticism, immature character, communication breakdown, lack of transparency or contentment and unhealthy comparison among others.

"unhealthy comparisons are foxes that destroy, don't compare your spouse with others.

When you are complaining, it simply depicts that you are ungrateful, after all, it's not possible for you to have all your needs met, be contented and grateful for  what you have, and what your spouse has been able to provide" Mrs Bodunrin said.

Speaking further, she cautioned the married sisters never to take their husbands' quietness for foolishness as the women should allow their man to lead.

"Leave major decisions to him as the head, take note of his needs and avoid suspicion, listen to him and let him express his feelings, and stop piling up grudges.

Stop the act of tale bearing, nagging, yelling, screaming or shouting down on your spouse.

Don't be unforgiving or exposing the flaws and mistakes of your spouse to others.

Be selfless and prayerful while learning to correct him in secret and honor him in public.

Learn how to honor and treat your spouse with dignity as you make his dishes presentable while your appearance looks adorable and not shabby" Mrs Bodunrin explained.

EMANCIPATION FROM LITTLE FOXES THAT DESTROYS MARRIAGES:

The interactive seminar session also provided ways of dealing with highlighted foxes.

"Identify the particular fault peculiar to you, renounce such with practical steps of- apologizing, resolving conflicts before you go to bed, learning to say sorry by voicing it out, praying together, and praying for one another. Being courteous, selfless and grateful are key,  in dealing with these foxes" the facilitator reiterated.

"Having total freedom from these little foxes requires a regenerated heart, as

these foxes are evidently opposed to purity and love, which is the hallmark of the Divine nature that covers multitudes of sins.

However, exercising Dominion over the use of the tongue and restraining demonic interference by being spiritually sensitive is imperative as home builders", Mrs Bodunrin elucidated.

The August Edition had a distinct session for single sisters as they vividly explored the topic- "Discovering God's compatible and suitable choice for You", while the  Widows were not exempted, as they had an inspiring moment of- "Coping with the realities of widowhood By His Grace".

The monthly women's program had a moment of free medical check up from amiable medical personnel who took time to check the women's health status.

Presentation of gifts to early arrivers and winners of the variety session titled- "sword drill" and benediction brought the August Edition of the women's program to a close, while reminding these special gender that- every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.

Comments

  1. The matter of little foxes is a serious matter. Take for example, comparison. When you compare your spouse, you live in the delusion of another being better than what you have. When you go out, you'll soon discover it's not greener outside. May God help our homes.
