DEMAND AND SUPPLY

Image
DEMAND AND SUPPLY πŸ™Œ I remembered how the voice of my Economics teacher echoes during lectures- “...human needs are insatiable, the higher the demand the higher the supply, law of diminishing returns states that…and many other things, bla blah blah!πŸ₯° So, when the Preacher read this verse out during his sermon, I pondered on the law of demand and supply while reflecting onπŸ‘‡ "My God shall supply all your needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." in Philippians 4:19 Then I Asked, Why is it that all our needs are not yet supplied, when we have this amazing promise? The answer I could figure out was- Probably we haven't demanded properly!πŸ‘Œ Because, so  often, we settle for less. We murmur and complain rather than boldly come before the throne of grace to demand for what we need. But the law of economics is clear - the higher the demand, the higher the supply. So, Why not make your demand by looking up to the hill's of heavenly storehouse by Asking, a...

BREASTFEEDING SUPPORT FOR ALL

Image by WHO CLOSING THE GAP: EMBRACING THE GIFT OF EXCLUSIVE BREASTFEEDING BY JIMOH ELIZABETH OLUWASEYI  In the biblical narrative of Hannah, we see the profound bond between mother and child encapsulated in her determination to nurture Samuel before dedicating him to God.  Hannah understood the importance of fulfilling her maternal role, ensuring her son was fortified with the spiritual and physical nourishment that would sustain him.  Just as Hannah waited to nurture Samuel before his dedication, today's mothers are called to recognize the sanctity and significance of exclusive breastfeeding—a foundational act that honors the rights of every child to good nutrition. With the theme- “Closing The Gap: Breastfeeding Support for All” for the 2024 year's International Breastfeeding Week, the dialogue around exclusive breastfeeding gains urgency.  The WHO and UNICEF recommend that newborns should be exclusively breastfed for the first six months of life—an essential rig...

INCREDIBLE PATHWAY FOR A BLISSFUL UNION

THE ENDURING POWER OF TRUTH IN MATRIMONY Even if you've been married for long, the joy of witnessing two love birds at a wedding ceremony has the propensity to reawaken the conjugal bliss between partners whose matrimonial homes have fallen apart. This was the case at the Deeper Life Church wedding, held on August 10th at Hope Street, Alade Olowosokodile community of Fagba, Lagos State, Nigeria. The celebrants, Brother Michael Oladipupo Atewogboye and Sister Oluwafunmilayo Felicia Abu from the Magodo group, beamed with joy and laughter as the solemnization of holy matrimony marked a redefining moment for the couple. The solemnization began with the bride walking majestically down the aisle, while the seated groom awaited her arrival, the prelude of the organ setting the tone for the sacred ceremony. The prayer, congregational hymn, scriptural pronouncement, and reading preceded the main event, followed by a thought-provoking sermon that provided ample opportunity for older coupl...

DCLM WOMEN'S PROGRAM: LEADER HIGHLIGHTS “LITTLE FOXES,” HOME BUILDERS SHOULD KNOCK OFF. One of the oldest institutions  that has witnessed significant changes and  challenges since its inception has been the marriage institution. Addressing these predominant issues that have  threatened marital peace and bliss in many homes necessitated the Deeper Christian Life Ministry(DCLM) monthly women program, with its series of varieties for the benefit of the Married, Widows, Singles and Women Professionals. The August special edition had a large turnout of married sisters who were enlightened on- taking away the little foxes that destroy marriage. The facilitator for the Magodo group, in person of Mrs Lucky Bodunrin, elucidated those seemingly little foxes that  looked  insignificant, but capable of destroying the home front. She asserted that " we ought to be joyful, united and making progress in our families and marriages, but with the presence of little foxes ...
