PURPOSE IN PAIN: THE INSPIRING JOURNEY OF TERRY FOX At just 17, Terry had an unfathomable blow!! He was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a form of bone cancer. Before this diagnosis, he had discovered his love for sports, reveling in the joy of physical activity. It seemed cruel that just as he embraced his passion, he was thrust into a world of painful treatments and the devastating loss of his right leg above the knee. Yet, amid this turmoil, Terry's spirit shone brightly.  Rather than surrender to despair, he chose to transform his pain into purpose.  During his hospital stay, it was noticed that he met another young patient who had also lost a limb to cancer.  This encounter ignited a fire within him—a determination to raise awareness and funds for cancer research.
